Holiday Needs

For many of us, the holidays are a joyous time with friends, family, and celebrations.    Unfortunately though, for many they are a time of unmet expectations and sadness.  This is especially true  if we are alone, ill, or economically challenged.

Faith in Action partners with community members and organizations to bring a little Christmas cheer to our senior and disabled neighbors.  We do this through our:

SENIOR ANGEL PROGRAM

Last year we were able to provide Christmas gifts and blessings to nearly 100 community members.

This was in spite of the challenges of the snows.

(though we must admit, some folks in the outlying areas got their presents in January).

If you would like to donate to our Christmas present give away, there are several ways you can.

You can:

Buy a gift card of $20 or more from a local business, and mail it or bring it by our Thrift Store.

You can:

Choose a specific "angel" from the tree at our store and buy the gift that the senior on that card has requested.  We ask that you return these gifts by DEC. 14, so that we can organize distribution

You can:

Send in a monetary donation, marked for the angel program.

You can:

Bake cookies, knit blankies, make homemade cards, or otherwise donate homemade treasures that we can distribute with the cards.

Nothing shows love like something you've made,

You can:

Volunteer to deliver presents.  Call Patti at 275-0535 if you'd like the joy of spreading smiles.

Whatever way you choose to give -

your holidays will be better because of it.
